I am way off-topic, but reached your blog in a round-about way via a Google search for a beloved chicken mughlai recipe. I found your mention of Zubin Mehta's recipe (with brown sugar, sour cream, saffron, etc.), which I believe is the one that I've mysteriously misplaced. Would you share the recipe?

I MUST SAY THAT ZUBIN MEHTA'S CHICKEN MUGHLAI
IS THE BEST!! I HAVE BEEN MAKING IT SINCE I SAW HIS RECIPE IN SUNSET MAGAZINE ABOUT A ZILLION YEARS AGO. I WILL ADMIT THAT I THOUGHT ABOUT IT FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE ATTEMPTING IT AS I THOUGHT THE COMBINATION OF BROWN SUGAR, TOMATOES AND SOUR CREAM WERE RATHER STRANGE BUT ONCE I TRIED IT, I WAS HOOKED. I WAS A COOK IN A SMALL COMMUNITY HOSPITAL IN CALIFORNIA AND I MADE IT OFTEN FOR THE STAFF WHO JUST LOVED IT. EVEN FOLKS WHO SAID THEY DIDN'T CARE FOR CURRY OR INDIAN FOOD, LOVED IT.
