This day of joyous celebration,
first gay wedding in California

With today's devastatingly sad news, I quote Anglachel:

One of the big advertising points for Prop. 8 was Obama saying he believed marriage should only be between a man and a woman....He [Obama] said nothing to contradict the use of his name and words to put anti-gay bigotry into the California constitution.

Now normal Californians in celebration can happily join the families of "one man and one woman" of, for instance, my state--South Carolina, who take pride upon looking down upon those they believe are their moral inferiors.

What's the opposite of evolution, I wonder -- besides a hooding of one's consciousness in a slither back towards the deep end of the muck-primeval pool, that is?

Floridians, Arizonans, Arkansans, Nebraskans and San Franciscans get on board with that, too.
