Jelly Pizza

There's a story, of course.

When They Cry Wolf...

...and the golem blaspheme,
grab a couple of knobs of ginger root,

poke it under the dirt, sprinkle with water every few days,
and in about 6 weeks, you'll get this prettiness:[click on photo to enlarge]
By late summer, you might have flowers,
and by late fall you can harvest an abundance of ginger root.
Repeat if spring returns.

Do you think it's tastes better than the ginger root in the stores? Sometimes the stuff I buy is pretty weak.

dear sher:

it's been a long time since i did this, and i don't use a lot of ginger...but i recall it was pretty pungent & fresh tasting. i thought the flowers were even better -- spectacular & fragrant!

try it...it's simple enough on a sunny patio or deck.
