If I Ever Needed The Ark [>7" rain]...

...tonight's the night!

I missed the boat last Friday, then I was sick all week and now this official hurricane statement:

Rainbands moving onto the coast of the Carolinas...Tropical Storm Ernesto nears the coast...areas affected...this statement is for residents the counties of northeast South Carolina...a Tropical Storm Warning and Hurricane Watch are in effect for the coastal counties from the South Santee River in South Carolina to Surf City North Carolina. Tropical storm conditions are forecast into tonight...and hurricane conditions are possible. A Flood Watch is in effect for heavy rain across the area.
Ernesto was moving toward the north-northeast near 18 mph.
On this forecast track the center of Ernesto is expected to move inland along the Brunswick County coast before 11 PM.Maximum sustained winds remain near 70 mph with higher gusts...preparations should be completed by now as the weather deteriorates further. Prepare for heavy rain...possible flooding and strong winds.

Wake me when it's over.
Bring tuna & catnip.

thanks, bonnie!
soon as you let me know, i'll update the post.

thanks, sher!
the wind was terrrrrrrrrible for hours, but the trees are still standing.

so sorry to hear upsie has a gambling prob; when she's "sober" send her this way with the kayak, not that my digs are flooded but we will need a little time to dry out before anything else "big" comes along, and i'm thinking a boat in the backyard would be nice, in case.

yeah, in case i suspect another trip to the vet [4 this week, waaah!], and i need to escape out the back door, across some neighbors' lawns & down the intracoastal waterway.

naptime, i'm exhausted.
mew, y'all

watertiger!

well, clearly i'm no outdoor feline warrior like you but a happily ensconced high & dry, elderly house kitty, who is NTL so cheered you stopped by - enough to hum a few bars of the sun'll come out tomorrow, tomorrow....

i just checked the radar over rhinebeck. looks like some quality time with your new dvds is in order.

if the sky does clear, you can borrow upsie's kayak [i bet she's cool with that!], and like washington & the delaware, launch your watertiger crosses the hudson tour to see the storm king art center. prepare to be wow-wee-wowed.

have a big-cat, fun weekend no matter what.

Nah, just curl up under the covers and wait for the storm to pass. Make sure there's lots of tuna and a can opener i.e. a human to open the can!
